Notebook Cover

For this school project, I designed 12 unique notebook covers, each inspired by a different zodiac sign. The goal was to create visually distinct yet cohesive designs that would appeal to astrology enthusiasts while being marketable for an event sale.

Research & Inspiration – I explored zodiac symbolism, mythology, and aesthetics to define a visual direction for each sign.

Concept Development – I experimented with different illustration styles, color palettes, and typography to ensure each cover reflected the essence of its corresponding sign.

Design Execution – Using a mix of digital illustration and graphic design techniques, I crafted intricate compositions that balanced artistic expression with commercial appeal.

Final Adjustments & Print Preparation – I optimized the designs for print, ensuring high-quality color reproduction and consistency across all covers.

Creating 12 Distinct yet Cohesive Designs – I learned how to maintain a unified visual identity across multiple pieces while giving each sign its unique personality.

Balancing Detail with Practicality – Since the covers needed to be both visually striking and functional as notebooks, I focused on clarity and usability in my designs.

Market-Oriented Design Thinking – Designing for an actual sales event helped me consider the target audience, commercial viability, and production constraints more deeply.

This project strengthened my skills in illustration, branding, and product design, reinforcing my ability to create artwork tailored for real-world applications. It was an exciting challenge that allowed me to merge creativity with strategic design thinking.
